Willow Cottage is believed to have been built in 1616, the year Shakespeare died. Old documents describe it as a shop, bakehouse, and barnyard, while the outbuildings clearly housed horses and other animals at some time.
Inside the house there are a wealth of beams testifying to its age, but it has been tastefully and carefully modernised for the comfort of our guests.
The peace and quiet of the accommodation tucked away at the rear of the main house are to be envied in today's noisy world, and the general tranquility of the surroundings make staying at Willow Cottage like a breath of fresh air.
